An award-winning leadership program by the Centre for Sustainability Leadership (CSL) has recently completed in Brisbane.
For the first time the Future Environmental Leaders Program (FELP) brought together 23 young and bright Year 9 and 10 students from three Brisbane Public State High Schools.
Made possible by the vision and generosity of The Boeing Company, FELP is based on a cutting edge curriculum that focuses on inspiring students from the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics streams.
The program was run the by CSL, the Melbourne and Sydney based, not-for- profit organisation with over ten years’ experience empowering leaders in sustainability.
“We are thrilled to have offered the first Future Environmental Leaders Program in Brisbane and to have given 23 Year 9 and 10 students the opportunity to be a part of this new leadership program,” said Alesha Younghusband, General Manager of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership (CSL).
“It’s an opportunity to build the capacity and networks at a crucial time in young peoples development so that they feel more empowered and inspired to become our future leaders.” 23 participants from three public high schools in Brisbane’s outer suburbs graduated at the Boeing Defence Australia office in Brisbane in September for the final workshop as part of the 20-week course.
“It has been a fantastic and unique program which draws together a very diverse and passionate group of young people” said Program Manager, Sandi Middleton.Find out more about our programs here, or contact Sandi Middleton 0415 749 714 firstname.lastname@example.org
