I gained the confidence to create change and a network of fellow change-makers
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
I gained the confidence to create change and a network of fellow change-makers
Why are you passionate about sustainability?
Since my early teens I’ve watched the disrespect and destruction of the natural world and worried about the future of humans and the planet. Despite the terrible and devastating scientific evidence about global warming, I refuse to believe it’s too late. I am passionate about our need to positively change our thinking and behaviour NOW and want to work to motivate people to turn the boat around before we all sink.
How did CSL play a role in directing your current path or project?
CSL has challenged me to prioritise what is important in my life so I can be a change-maker, and given me tools, strategies and a network of people to help do those things.
Why is sustainability leadership important?
If we don’t speak out and do something, who will? Someone has to push the envelope and the agenda for positive change to happen.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
I’m leaving my job at the end of the year to focus more on climate change and sustainability action. I want to convene a brains trust to discuss a couple of fledgling ideas I’ve got, and meanwhile I’m undertaking some facilitation training and doing volunteer work with a couple of organisations. I also plan to do more networking with CSL alumni am open to new possibilities and helping others with their projects.
What are three words you would use to describe the Fellowship Program?
Inspiring, challenging, enabling
