"Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be." If ever there was someone who could fit the bill as Ralph Waldo Emerson describes it, they would be CSL.
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
At the beginning of this year, I entered CSL unsure of myself and of what to do with my life. Several months later, I've established The Paper Bag, a budding social enterprise centred around sustainability and social justice as well as developing a deeper understanding of myself and my place in this world.
What is your vision for the future?
My vision for a sustainable world is one where society adds to the world rather than detracts from it. Where man and environment live together harmoniously. A world that believes in advancement with a conscience. I'm working to this end by promoting the concept of resource maximisation and zero waste to a world that can no longer be sustained by modern practices. In going through the turbulent cycle of having no idea what path to follow to gaining clarity in vision and purpose within a few short months is a testament to the power CSL has to fundamentally change hearts and minds.
