To help leave the world a better place than we found it for future generations.
What was the most valuable thing you got out of the Future Makers Fellowship?
I got clarity of my vision for a sustainable future and how I can make it happen
Why are you passionate about sustainability?
When I was studying at university, I was watching David Suzuki’s documentary, The Nature of Things. Suzuki’s quote – ‘We are insignificant but when you add up the millions of insignificant people it becomes significant – you can make a difference’ - really resonated with me. Then I started to explore how I could go about making that change.
How did Future Makers play a role in directing your current path or project?
Future Makers provides a unique opportunity for reflection, and gaining clarity and understanding about sustainability leadership. It has been invaluable in guiding my career path and other projects that I’m involved with. The active alumni network is integral in providing ongoing support and inspiration to work towards a sustainable future.
Why is sustainability leadership important?
To help leave the world a better place than we found it for future generations.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
I’m pursuing personal sustainable sourcing projects, as well as litter reduction projects in my community.
What are three words you would use to describe the Fellowship Program?
