Make the movement MOVE!!!
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
Lot's of tools for implementing successful projects and an invaluable group of wise new allies, peers and friends!
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?
Because it's important to make sure that my nieces and children and other generations well into the future can enjoy the same rich and abundant life that I have been blessed to both in the availability of food, clean fresh water, resources and the natural beauty of the environment. I grew up really connected to the land and the natural environment - regularly spending time at the family's bush property in the Hunter Valley. It saddens me to think that others don't or won't have this opportunity or that they do and take it for granted without truly appreciate what a gift it is.
Why is leadership for sustainability important?
To make the movement MOVE!!!
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
I'm in the middle of setting up a new space for my business that connects health, wellness and sustainability. We have just submitted our DA to move the business and our home onto an old petrol station site to become the studio and permaculture demonstrations site and sustainability education centre. The project is called from Petrol to Permaculture and we are hoping to open some time early in 2015.
