Sustainability leaders are essential for the creation of social and cultural paradigm shifts that protect futures and the environment.

What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?

CSL broke down barriers and fast tracked my change making career

Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a ‘change maker’ in your field?

My first aha moment came when I studied a sustainability subject at uni while completing a masters in environmental management. Learning about the theory and practice of the sustainability discipline from a passionate and knowledgeable teacher launched me into a change making career - I’ve never looked back.

I am a passionate conservationist, scientist and artist. While progressing my sustainability journey with CSL I realised my values, passion and skills align with a career in change making for sustainability. The groundwork I laid at CSL will continue to drive my sustainability journey into the future.

How did CSL play a role in directing your current path or project?

CSL played a pivotal role in assisting me to test and refine my project ideas, and identify new ways of creating change – most importantly, through collaboration. I am now much more confident moving forward with my current projects and CSL empowered me to do so.

In 25 words or less, tell us why leadership for sustainability is important.

Sustainability leaders are essential for the creation of social and cultural paradigm shifts that protect futures and the environment.

What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?

My next projects include setting up an environmental networking group in my city, helping develop Newcastle’s just transitions and social enterprise movements and undertaking research in environmental conservation and behaviour change.

What are three words you would use to describe the Fellowship Program?
