CSL helped me to understand that real change starts from the inside out
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
CSL supported me to examine my own values and behaviours, reflect on my journey so far and redefine my dreams for the future. Most importantly, it helped me to understand that real change starts from the inside out.
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?
As a child I was deeply affected by images of cruelty inflicted on animals. This grew into a deep concern for the environment, and love for nature and its beauty. Coupled with an endless fascination for why we do the things we do, I am passionate about enabling individuals and society to reach their fullest potential.
Why is leadership for sustainability important?
For me, leadership for sustainability is important in that its approach to change is deeply rooted in enabling human potential. It encapsulates the qualities needed for our future leaders to not only address the challenging times ahead but also to imagine new ways of being and acting in the world.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
As a program facilitator at CSL, I feel truly honored to be in a role that supports others on their own sustainability journeys. I plan to continue building on this journey by reflecting on the learnings from my PhD research to further enrich and improve our programs. It’s an exciting space to be in!
