CSL has helped me to rediscover and clarify my vision, at a time when this was what I needed
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
The confidence to know that I can take on any challenge I choose and come out the other side
Why are you passionate about sustainability?
I can't remember a time when I haven't been passionate about sustainability, and particularly social justice. A particularly clarifying moment for me was when I spent time in India and Bangladesh, and realised how disconnected so many of us are from our waste, and the impacts of our consumption on this planet and its people.
How did CSL play a role in directing your current path or project?
CSL has helped me to rediscover and clarify my vision, at a time when this was what I needed. I now have a network I can bounce ideas off, and a renewed desire to connect with people doing awesome things in the world. It has given me practice at asking the hard questions, of myself and others.
Why is sustainability leadership important?
Leadership for un-sustainability, focussed solely on economic growth, exacerbating inequalities and destroying the environment, will ultimately serve no-one. Let's choose the alternative!
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
I will work to embed sustainability more deeply and holistically in all of my work, take stronger actions to reduce my personal footprint, and continue to use nature as a connecting force between all cultures.
What are three words you would use to describe the Fellowship Program?
Phenomenal, Challenging, Supportive
