Leadership for sustainability is the greatest expression of empathy for others that we can show
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
The people I met at CSL reminded me of the goodness of humans, the desire for equality, progression and empathy. Plus we had a lot of laughs. I now have the support and friendship of a global network of friends and leaders in the field.
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?
A few years ago I saw Jeremy Rifkin ask a room of sustainability professionals if they were sitting in that room because of their children. I realised the passion and gravity of the situation we face, and also was drawn by the distinct and unique opportunity that we have in order to discover the infinite nature of human potential. I wanted to be part of that, and then fell in love with how cool the solutions and mindset of moving towards sustainability are. This chance we have is as much about fun as it is about necessity.
Why is leadership for sustainability important?
I think leadership for sustainability is the greatest expression of empathy for others that we can show.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
Having just graduated, I want to find a job that fulfills my personal values and contributes to a movement that I see as powerful and growing.
