CSL amplified the need to use your superpowers, and not just sit on them.
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
I was looking for perspective, and got inspiration and friendship as a bonus.
Why are you passionate about sustainability?
Working in corporate marketing it was a norm to produce communication materials that would only go to waste, just for the sake of securing next year's budget. This and similarly insane business practices proved to me how systemically unsustainable many of our accepted business rules really are. But any day there's such a moment, just reading the news will do it. We currently subsist in a mindset of scarcity, whereas we should thrive in a mindset of abundance. I want to be part of that change.
How did CSL play a role in directing your current path or project?
CSL amplified the need to use your superpowers, and not just sit on them. Fine tune your skills and apply them, and feel the buzz you get from doing a good thing. Don't get bogged down when things don't work out at times.
Why is leadership for sustainability so important?
Sustainability is a key leadership principle, urgently required to counter notorious short-termism with long-term planning. Sustainability is at the core of vision and courage, and goal setting beyond personal objectives.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
Support the proliferation of renewable energy in Australia.
