There are people who care and we are changing things
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
My heart and hands were given strength that there are people who care and that we are changing things
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?
I am passionate about sustainability because it is about people, it's about justice and looking after people's air, their rivers, their land, their living conditions. It is about protecting beautiful and rare places. It is about respect! I care about it because I have been redeemed by Jesus Christ, who has redeemed me and is inviting people to be reconciled with God, with each other and with the world in which we live. Hundreds of small decisions led to caring more about sustainable design and spatial equality - the fairer distribution of wealth, health and resources.
Why is leadership for sustainability is important?
Ask the guy who wrote leadership rewired! It was awesome. But in my own words - sustainability starts and ends with people, and we need leaders.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
Implement a community solar project and work on a few different sustainable housing projects.
