I think CSL gave all of us the time, the space and a community to discover our gifts and talents…and orientate us towards opportunities to give them away, and be awesome.
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a ‘change maker’ in your field?
Today, in the world of sustainability, we mostly aspire to be ‘less bad’ or ‘do less harm’ on selective issues, rather than making an overall positive contribution to society and living systems. I believe we can do better, and need leaders to transform our aspirations away from what we want to avoid, and toward how we can be a genuine force for good.
How did CSL play a role in directing your current path or project?
I think CSL gave all of us the time, the space and a community to discover our gifts and talents… and orientate us towards opportunities to give them away, and be awesome.
In 25 words or less, tell us why leadership for sustainability is important.
"We should take care not to make intellect our god. It has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality. It cannot lead, it can only serve.” – Albert Einstein
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
Going on numerous, extraordinary adventures with an amazing community of like-minded people who aspire to create a brighter future.
What are three words you would use to describe the Fellowship Program?
Humbling, nurturing and appreciative.
