Sustainability offers people of all shapes and sizes a chance to connect

What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?

CSL gave me the push I needed to really step into my potential.

Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?

Sustainability offers people of all shapes and sizes a chance to connect with their capacities within and their environment without. It is an opportunity to see the richness that this planet and its people have to offer and collectively walk the path of a healthy present towards a healthy future. I realised that I have a role to play in connecting people to each other, their diverse cultures and the environment when I was a kid, and recognised how open people really are to be moved for a cause.

Why is leadership for sustainability important?

We all have the capacity to nourish the world we live in. Sustainability leadership connects people to this potential, fostering the will to live consciously.

What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?

Having recently moved overseas to revitalise my own well-being and grow my international networks, I'm now taking stock before stepping up into new opportunities. At this stage, I intend to work with leading heritage policy makers to incorporate holistic community custodianship in environmental and cultural heritage sites. I am also examining how my strengths in facilitation and brokerage can support in growing a community of stewards for sustainable futures.

CSL saw my passion and gave me the push I needed to really step into my potential. Since then, CSL and the CSL community have continued to support my curiousity for fresh ideas and my conscientiousness towards ambitious projects. Previously working in experimental creative projects for cultural development, I've completed my masters and am now moving into innovative heritage policy and whole of community custodianship, whilst at the same time exploring my potential as a facilitator for sustainability leaders. Thanks to CSL, in the last two years, my personal and professional life has flourished to new levels I would have never expected.
