CSL helped redirect the purpose of my small business into being my weapon for change.

What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?

I now have a crew of diverse & creative friends who serve as my brains trust & moral barometer.

Why are you passionate about sustainability?

I'm passionate about sustainability because I obsess over opportunity; the belief that we can always do better, waste less, innovate and prosper. I'm passionate about sustainability because I don't think the world is as we see it, so waiting until the problems sting the eyes of those in power when they walk outside into what was once "fresh air" is too late, we need to change course now. I can't remember the moment exactly when I started asking "Where does it come from? And where does it all go?" but in asking that question of the goods and resources I was consuming I realised that the scales were tipping the wrong way and that I wanted to do something about it.

How did CSL play a role in directing your current path or project?

CSL helped redirect the purpose of my small business (advertising agency) into being my weapon for change rather than my feeling like I had to make my contribution elsewhere.

Why is sustainability leadership important?

It's the difference between a future world of problems led by another generation of ignorant narcissists or a generation of selfless stewards who see themselves as one link in an ongoing chain.

What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?

I recently moved to Amsterdam and in just two days I've already noticed how "sustainability" is a mainstream and normal concept, not a fringe idea.

I plan on networking here to see what opportunities arise. With the help of my team in Sydney we will be undertaking what's needed to achieve B-Corp certification for our company by the end of November. From the start of 2017 our advertising agency will be focussed on helping brands make a contribution towards a sustainable world.

What are three words you would use to describe the Fellowship Program?
